How do I video chat on skype on my new iPad?

I just got a new I pad, I can see there is what looks
Ike a small camera on the top of the iPad, but I’m not sure how to do it.
That is the ambient light sensor, not a camera. You can not video skype on a camera because it does not have a camera. Shouldn’t you have done a little more r
esearch on the iPad befor you got one.
